Dreams of a nine year old

I feel kind of bad about posting this, since this was written in my little sister's diary but me being the nosy sister that I am, I just couldn't resist.

While reading through them, I had little giggles to myself since they were so cute and things that I?d probably have wished for too. But when I read the last one, I felt so bad. How could my cute little sister think she's not pretty? I feel so emotional seeing what she'd written.
So after I read that, I called her over and sat her on my lap and told her that she's the prettiest girl in the world! And I plan on telling her that every day from now on.

When I was nine that was the last thing I thought about. It seems as though little girls nowadays are a lot more self conscious, which is really sad.
