True Colours

Smile

The city changes so much at night. The streets seem to change shape. The sound of feet on paving slabs is more sinister. The sirens echoing across the meadows into the depths of Marchmont all the louder without the low level humdrum of daily traffic, school children's cries and bicycle wheels.

I find it strange that I feel a lot more comfortable, a lot safer, walking around in Edinburgh in the dark than I do in my home town in the Borders. But it's true...I love it here, alone with the stars.
