icy streets and yet...

michigan strikes yet again...

the morning was a crazy one --
i woke up to every sort of street/sidewalk/concrete covered in a sheet of legitimate ice, witnessing cars go about 15 miles an hour on one of our city's main streets (crazy!).
although i got to school on time, i was the one of very few -- in my class, i was one of three students!
because kids were flowing in at an unsteady pace (and quite late into first hour), my teacher let us hang around for the class period.

(that's when i noticed this beautiful sunrise and snapped a quick one with my cell.)

as the day went by, though, that amazing sun melted enough of the ice for us to drive home -- or wherever -- safely.

rest of the day was pretty normal.
life will be life.
we move on.
