Today I went to the Botanic Garden as a guest instead of a volunteer. It was nice to get to explore areas where I normally dont work, and share it with my old roommate who was in town for my birthday.

This is one of the succulent topiarys we have at the garden. The woman who takes care of them does an amazing job. Succulents are by far my favorite group of plants. There are so many varieties in interesting shapes and colors, and you can grow them out here in the desert without feeling guilty about your water usage. Win all around.
