Upper Huxley Valley

This photo was taken from our tramping hut, Brodrick Hut, about 8am. We had spent the previous day battling up the river to get to this point. The route was washed out, avalanched river beds dissolving the trail. We were incredibly relieved to get to the hut in the evening, and blown away by the view that greeted us in the morning.
