Early start for the plane to Cairo. All had gone smoothly though and the plane was unsurprisingly quiet.
I woke from a snooze just in time to see us pass over the northern tip of the Nile with all the flooded fields stretching into the distance.

The drive from the airport to the hotel was hair raising to say the least. Cairo's ring road is like no other with horns blaring, crazily fast average speeds and lots of weaving in and out. It felt like being in a movie car chase!
A very warm welcome at the hotel followed by a lovely dinner (having to choose which fish you wanted in the kitchen was slightly weird) and warm shower ended the day nicely.
