A long way round
Today dawned cold and a tad murky - the perfect morning to go and take some shots at a local reservoir. Not massively happy with them but it was an enjoyable stomp around the perimeter to the boat club, where I took some more snaps.
The rest of the day has been somewhat less productive and events at work have cast a bit of a cloud over the day.
Still, things perked up this aft when I picked the kids up, despite having to dial in to yet another pointless conference call. H and I dug out the banana boat (his bright yellow RC boat) and we went and had fun with it on the canal...or at least H had a good laugh as I attempted to retrieve the thing when it got ensnared by some brambles on the opposite bank. Not content with that, H engineered further hi jinx when he then got it stuck under a stone ledge...again on the opposite bank. Cue much cursing from me. 'Finally rescued the boat by climbing over someone's garden fence. Oops!
Fajitas for dinner and some sorting out to do tonight. Perhaps a little packing ahead of Thursday and the long awaited adventure to Spain. Two more days to go...yay! :-)
