Stirling High School
Opening day for the new PFI'd Stirling High School in Stirling, Scotland. The former Williamfield home of Stirling County Cricket club is now fully transformed into the new school. The old school will be demolished and replaced by swanky new houses. The cricket club moved to another part of Stirling. The green space that was Williamfield is now forever lost and will recede into the memories and photographs. This completes the journal of photographing the conversion from cricket field to school. I have a fuller set of photographs for posterity as they clearly cannot all be posted on blipfoto.
In many ways, despite the setting sun bathing the new school in beautiful light, it is a sad day with only memories of the former Willamfield left. The space that was once beautifully green is now concrete, brick and cladding.
