Freak Snowstorm
Woke up this morning to see that Victoria had been hit with a freak snowstorm in February! About 10 cm of the white fluffy stuff. As always when the frozen rain shows up, most of the city is shut down. Few people have snow tires and people who grew up here and little experience driving in the snow. On my way to work I left very early with my camera and tried to capture some images along the way. This capture is of a massive tree stump that washed up on the beach in Ross Bay more than a year ago and has not moved since. It has become an iconic symbol of a west coast beach and looked very out of place covered in snow.
