Curly Tulips

I got these tulips on Monday on special offer because they weren't sold on Saturday. I've never seen curly tulips before and I like them. When we got back to the house I realised that we had packed all the vases. I've improvised by cutting the top off a plastic water bottle. We won't get the deposit back on it now I expect. (not really bothered about things like that now!) I've moved my Grandmothers old rug down to the living room to replace the other one which has gone to be professionally cleaned. For this picture I put the flowers in their 'vase' on it. It's a bit busy but better than the untidy background otherwise as have been moving stuff about and packing all day. Same again tomorrow. So looking forward to my best friend arriving in the afternoon to help! We need to set up a temporary apartment on the ground floor for Mum so it feels more cosy for her after the rest of her stuff has been shipped to UK and I can't carry all that furniture down the stairs on my own - I moved a TV cupboard this morning but it was hard work; shouldn't have done it really. Mum has decided to stay until after Easter which is why we have to do this. I can't postpone moving her things till then - it's leaving everything too close to the completion date and too stressful.
