Fungi

Found this interesting fungi under the hemlock trees today. I think it is a mushroom of sorts. My "mushroom expert" friend is going to give it the once over tomorrow. Maybe he can tell me what it is. Baseball size diameter.
Noticed the bug on it after I cropped.
