Mardi Gras

So, today was Mardi Gras (or 'Pancake Day' as we call it in our small, understated protestant nation. None of this dancing and carnavaling and gallivanting about in the UK, just good old fashioned pancakes), so the kids were allowed to dress up to go to school. This is the smallest child dressed up as the most adorable pirate. Middle child dressed up as a lion which was also freaking adorable and really really funny. I got a picture of her too but I prefer this one.

Made pancakes for dinner, which was awesome, and middle child helped me make them which was really nice.

I am giving up chocolate for Lent. It's nearly 10am on Wednesday and so far it's going well... :p
