Kite snowboarding

A late sunny afternoon with a nice breeze but not too cold any more. I spotted two kite snowboarders and could easily take pics without my fingers going totally numb. Amazed how fast they could whiz over the ice.

I found it challenging to first of all capture them in full speed and second, to compose a picture with a flat horizon and only a small object or occasionally even two in it. I chose this because of the islands, hoping that they would bring some feeling of depth to the image. Any good ideas how to make a reasonable image out of this kind of subject?
