To be demolished

The building on the left is the former Stornoway Shellfish factory, strategically positioned to be right in your eye as your drive off the ferry - and in your nose with some pretty foul smells at times. It closed in 2007 and has been standing empty since. The house on the right backs on to the fuel depot (not visible in pic), which is not the ideal location for any house to be. To be honest, the depot should not be in the centre of the town at any rate, but that's another matter. Anyone who retails fuel oils is hitting such hard times at the moment, they could not possibly afford a relocation two miles down the coast to Arnish.
