Man and Cup

It's been quite a hectic day, poor Jeanne was sent home from school with a bit of an upset tum and I am busy with a project at work that is pulling me in different directions.

So another day, another dollar so I'll keep spinning the plates...but from home with Jeanne who can have a day's R n R with the iPad and some books. Really looking forward to tomorrow though especially as it's Evie's Gruffalo assembly in the morning!

Evie has a part in my blip tonight -

Today she brought home this delicious Gingerbread man she made on World Book Day. She's quite the little cook and quite the little softie as she doesn't want to eat him but keep him forever.

Pondering this thought as I drink my tea from a stripy mug that belongs to someone else rather delicious. Quite fitting that is in the blip too tonight

I was reading about the Gingerbread man and in the version on wiki the poor man's demise is quite brutal. So Evie (quite rightly) has saved him from a terrible fate.

And he ran till he came across a fox, and to him he called out:

I've run away from a little old woman,
A little old man,
A barn full of threshers,
A field full of mowers,
A cow and a horse,
And I can run away from you, I can
!
Then the fox set out to run. Now foxes can run very fast, and so the fox soon caught the gingerbread boy and began to eat him up.

Presently the gingerbread boy said, "Oh dear! I'm quarter gone!" And then, "Oh, I'm half gone!" And soon, "I'm three-quarters gone!" And at last, "I'm all gone!" and never spoke again.

never spoke again
never spoke again
never spoke again
