Domestic drama...

I woke this morning to news of an earthquake and tsunami in Japan. I then walked the dog, forgetting to take my camera in the rush before work - the one morning when I spot a pair of red kites quartering and circling, weaving around one another, over the field behind the house; a breeding pair?!
So, big drama this morning....
but what's this? A scene of rural domesticity which serves no purpose other than to quietly celebrate the fact that I have just completed a hand-knitted rug on which the cats can curl and sleep. Well, to me its mega 'cos I've only just
(at the ripe old age of 50 something - I can never remember exactly how old I am) learnt how to knit, having received a book from a daughter at Yule.
Hohum.
