Detour

The weather in Cairo is lovely at the moment, with a pleasingly bitter chill to the air. It'll start to warm up in a few weeks, and so I'm relishing the shivers while I still can.

Friday morning is the quietest time of the week and so when Larissa took herself off for her netball match, I went for what turned out to be a very pleasant walk around Maadi. No scuffing shoes, no beeping, no barking dogs, no beggars.

Just me, my favourite winter coat and my camera.
