Kickboard monster
My son at swim training this morning. They had to do kickboard work to strengthen their abdominal and leg muscles. Looks like fun but it's pretty hard work, especially if you have to swim several kilometers using only your legs. Shot in low light without a tripod and straight from camera as always.
Now, a rant. I was disappointed to hear that On The Rocks' journal was suspended. I've always enjoyed his images which, though occasionally cheeky, were always fun and never distasteful to me. It feels as if Blipfoto is becoming quite repressive with regards to artistic expression. Certain individuals here seem to have appointed themselves the morality police and like nothing better than picking on others who don't march to their drum. Far more disturbing photos regularly slip through the moderators. I think it's high time Blip defined more specifically a.) what "inappropriate content" means, and b.) enforce that consistently. So the nude female form is frowned upon but children in their birthday suits are acceptable? Paedophiles would have a ball with that one. And before anyone asks, yes, I reread the rules before writing this.
Still, this pales in comparison to the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan today. My mother was killed in an earthquake and so my thoughts are very much with those who have suffered and lost loved ones. Our poor little planet's gone a little too rock and roll for me lately, and not in a good way.
