Doors
Today I helped out on the stand for Mind in Chippenham's Neeld Hall. It was a day for adult health awareness and there were lots of different groups there advertising their specialities. A lot of networking was done by the groups and we were really lucky to be beside the Guide Dogs for the Blind even though that meant being right beside the door. The guide dogs had a 16 week old puppy and he was gorgeous, I decided not to take pictures of him but took some of the other dog their as she is retired from being a guide dog.
The hall is named after Joseph Neeld MP
Neeld Hall was built in 1850 as an extension to the Town Hall, and housed the cheese market and the corn exchange. During the first world war the hall was turned into a military ward to treat badly wounded soldiers. I think these doors were used to get the cheese in and out of the market.
