Katie and Ava were SO delighted to see each other today, it was totally adorable. Katie had troughed breakfast, seconds of breakfast, and then helped ava with what she didnt want of a pre-gymnastics snack.

They had a brill time at gymnastics, Katie was on good form. But she wanted to eat the whole time, and wandered round with a sandwich in her hand. We went to soft play after and she was eating there too. It was quiet and she loved it. The usual person wasnt there, which generally is a bad thing, but actually, the stand in's were great, they got involved, built a huge play structure for the kids with tunnels and stuff and were very friendly.

We went for a walk afterwards, and she snuggled in the sling for a sleep, then lunch. Before swimming. She was SO excited. The first 20 minutes she went mad, doing widths of the pool on her own (without her swimbands on) in between every song, with me barely supporting her at all. I couldn't believe it. She bounced and splashed through all the songs. During the playtime, her teacher was holding her as she was swimming and said she's really near to swimming on her own. But after 30mins she decided she was cross with the lesson and just wanted to go off and swim. Once she was doing that, she happily went up and down in her swimbands for another 15minutes. She was sooo tired afterwards!

She's been a little chatterbox today, new "sentences" have included 'byebye kisses', 'want cake' and 'socks off'.

We hadn't been home long when granny and grandad popped round for a play. A couple of minutes into the visit we got a phonecall from my brother. My new niece has arrived this afternoon by c-section, Maria-Sofia, weighing 7lb9oz. Congratulations Tanya, David and Paolo xxxxxx
