Real snow!!!
Early this morning HRather, John and Milo arrived. We'd arranged a coupel of weeks ago to head up to glenshee. Since Roz and I don't ski the deal was we'd take everyone up in the car and Heather and John would take the kids skiing. Even by the time we'd got to Blairgowrie there was no snow anywhere near the road but by about 5 - 10 miles past there was twoo foot drifts by the side of the road. It looked brilliant by the time we got to the ski centre and, for the first time, I really regretted not being able to ski, it looked great.
Maddy was a star, she went straight up without worrying and had numerous gos on a slope that they thought was a beginners one but which turned out to be intermediate without falling once. By the end she was going down the hill at the same speed as John and sometimes faster and had taught herself parallel skiing rather than her usual plough.
The only slight disappointment was that the only chairlift for walkers was closed, but it was still great being in real snow.
This is heather enjoying the snow after the ski.
