Venitian carrot cake works!

Bad, bad night with Boo, coughing all night and by this morning a high temp :-(. Ended up in bed with us until Daddy decamped to get some sleep to be fit for work.

I was meant to be sorting the house for the 'surprise' do tomorrow for my birthday and then going out for lunch with Mum. So not happening with coughing to the point of puking and temp of 102 and being split personality between laughing and thumping and back again.

So no cleaning, a lovely picnic bought by mum with some prosecco and then at alfie request bake cakes with Grams and Daddy. Daddy made his first scrumptious looking brownies for tomorrow, Mum sous cheffed more sticky toffee cupcakes with the right sugar this time... and I found this carrot cake recipe. We have a huge bag of cheap carrots as they cost less then a smaller bag of bigger carrots (with me so far?) so they need using up.

This smells amazing and tomorrow the proof wil be in the tasting....

Please keep everything crossed the temp is gone tomorrow so we can go ahead on Monday. x
