British Museum

In London today to catch up with friends and to see the Afghanistan exhibition at the British Museum. It didn't disappoint. Being at the centre (ish) of the spice route the items on display have a number of different influences and references. Some stunning gold and ivory pieces made for great eye candy, but what really interested me was the staggering amount of travelling and trade going on in the region 1,000s of years ago. Fascinating stuff. If you get a chance to see this before it closes, then I'm sure it will easily repay your time.
