Maeshowe

This is Maeshowe a prehistoric chambered cairn, thought to date from around 2700BC, Maeshowe is one of the monuments that make up the Heart of Neolithic Orkney World Heritage Site. Inside the cairn there are runic inscription left from Viking invaders. A visit to the cairn is a must for visitors to Orkney.
