Another milestone.

Edgar's mate JS has passed his driving test. He drove round to see us and take Edgar off for a spin and round to his house.

JS looked very pleased with himself, with his new skill and shiny red car.

It wasn't that long ago that I was doing the same, I remember it well.

Mrs W gave E the usual mumsy talk about not messing about. This was met with the usual mock solemnity and patronising " I'm 17 years old and know all about it mum" hollow words of reassurance.

I thought I had better record the moment for posterity. It is after all a defining step forward to adulthood for these young people.

The next lesson he will learn is - don't pull silly faces when dad's got his camera out.
