There used to be a castle there...
So much for the snow then. 6" to a foot of it forecast depending on where you looked and what did we get in the end? A slight covering of slushy snow. Bit of an anti-climax really. Still, had we got feet of the stuff I'd have still went to Calton Hill today, to get snowy rooftops etc etc. What I got when I got there was no snow on any roof other than that of the Castle.
Rattled off a few shots, which wasn't easy in the drizzle at the time and then the fog appeared. When I got to Calton it was just hanging about the top of the Arthurs Seat but it eventually shrouded the city centre, for maybe no more than 15 minutes. Quite pleased about it actually as it gave me an excuse to do my favourite view of Edinburgh yet again and get something a little bit different.
