Charge !!!

The last Mid Lancs XC season meet was held at Beacon Park nr Skelmersdale this afternoon. This is the start of the Senior/junior mens race. They moved the start back 100mtrs to avoid a mass pile up at the 1st turn. This will be Cal's race next year as he moves up an age group. In all the years Cal has been running this is the 1st time he has run here. It was a proper XC course with testing hills tight turns and a variety of mud and quick ground. It was also Cal's last race at U17 and he came 3rd - best result over the winter. Just before the race I got a call from the organiser of the Lancs Schools team to confirm his place on the team for next weekends English Schools XC races at Nottingham. He is made up. Another County vest for the collection.
