Venison a la Delia

The one advantage of the winter dragging on is that my better half keeps producing delights from his favourite cookbook: Delia's Winter Cookbook. This is Venison with Cumberland Sauce - venison from Auchtermuchty Venison at Edinburgh Farmers' Market.

Thought the red cabbage and orange 'hat' made it look like a thistle
