Thorns or flowers...

"You can complain because roses have thorns, or you can rejoice because thorns have roses"

I read this quote sometime back and its always been in my diary. When i saw this beautiful plant full of thorns and growing amongst the rocks, on its full bloom, i immediately smiled. Well the reason goes back to the chilled winters few months back when i first saw and started observing this plant. It was dry and thorny. I asked my mom - who is a gardening addict - to cut this one down, but she didnt. Infact she said something that i still remember: "thorns and roses grow on the same plant"

Many times life shows us just rocks and thorns, but too often we forget that the most beautiful flowers are the ones which grow on the thorniest of plants. Seeing this plant bloom today was the most pleasant thing of the day. Btw why do I have a feeling that this relates closely to my life as well...????
