Little U.J.

First and most important, Uncle John made it through his surgery beautifully. After 5 hours on the operating table, he's looking good. He now has a perfectly functioning aorta valve. There were a few small problems but they have been resolved. As of Saturday afternoon he was in a regular room and out of Intensive Care. He has eaten solid food, not much, but it's a start. He's still hooked up to some tubes, but they are hoping today (Sunday) to remove them so he can start getting out of bed with their help. Thank you so much for all your well wishes, they worked. Please excuse my lack of commenting as I have lived at the hospital since Friday morning and will probably do so until he is released.

On another front, Miss Piggy had two piglets on the same day of the surgery. Unfortunately only one lived but here is the survivor. We are calling him U. J. which is short for Uncle John. We're not sure if it's a he or she yet but he/she is very cute. This is her/him sleeping next to mama.
