Along the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, NS
Vacation 2009: The Maritimes. Day 7. Stunning scenery along the wonderful Cabot Trail of Nova Scotia's Cape Breton Island. Cape Breton's geography reminded us very much of Scotland. Nova Scotia (New Scotland) is well named. We saw some puffins on a rock in the water near here. No moose along the road. We did find a wonderful and HUGE lobster sandwich at a gas station. They sold them as local snacks - and at a reasonable price, too. Delicious and a hundred times better than the McLobster fraud McDonalds sold me in Lunenburg. Fortress Louisbourg was incredible. If you ever get a chance, you must visit that place.
Back-blipped 13 March 2011.
