Awoke to three inches of snow and the roaring engine noise of a huge delivery van trying in vain to get up our hill.

Dug out my Scarpa boots and thick sox, and off I went in the slush to post some birthday gifts - took almost double the time to walk there as the pavements were so slippery.

As the thaw set in, we were off to Linlithgow to our nephew's 21st event. One of the cousins produced the birthday hat, which was worn all evening. A very happy time together. I was very impressed by my sister's cake making efforts which Blip Adviser has now posted - Thunderbirds Are Go!
