pistonrobs shots

RNLI

something abit more colourfull than yesterdays stormy blip.
this is the pointy bit at the front end of the st Davids lifeboat.
i had to stand on the angled launch ramp on my tippy toes with the camera thrust above my head to get this shot
how daft i must have looked again

they`ve been saving the pennies and are going to get a new lifeboat and a new launching shed in about three years time.
its amazing to think that the RNLI is NOT FUNDED BY THE GOVERMENT and most of the funds come from generous donations and sponsors and the crew are mostly volunteers
its cost aprox £335 a day to keep it at readiness to launch

the st Davids shed is very dramaticaly positioned within a cleft of a cove. it has one of those ""down the ramp into the sea"" launching systems.
gona go back there at Easter and hopefully get an action shot waves being plowed aside as the boat shoots off to a rescue.
and then blip it
