You might think that this is a photo of Aidan busy spinning himself around to sit up after waking up, but no - this is how he was sleeping for his afternoon nap.

We put Aidan down for his nap after he had been swimming, as the class always tires him out. We had to wake him up for his lunch though, as mrs monochrome was heading through to her folks' place this afternoon so that I could get on and sand & paint the skirting boards in the spare room. This was the position he was in when we went through to wake him, and it took a fair bit of effort to coax him into waking him up. He'd obviously been lying like this for a while - when he finally stirred, his cheek was bright red and had loads of crease marks where he'd been lying on the pillow.
