Wild in the country

Another incident on Red Hill

Another of those days with a hundred pastoral photos, having spent the morning in the fields and forests with a dog, but I've chosen a more unfortunate picture. My reasoning is that the trees and horses will still be there tomorrow, but scenes like this are thankfully rarer. I returned from our ramble to my own street corner to find the road closed and the recovery truck just arriving. I've photographed this lane lots of times, with cars blocking the pavement, cars broken into, and now a car on its side. I've no reservations about photographing them, as evidence of crime, of nuisance, and of our need to drive slower on this stretch. I'm assured no one was seriously injured, although one person was taken to hospital for a check up. Car pulling out, car coming down, break, swerve, and a car on its side.
I love the policeman on the left, duly watching the muscle trying to turn the car the right way up - he did eventually add his weight, and all was carried out quite speedily.
