Stormy Weather
I decided to change my blip photo. The first one was of a huge tree, and this one is of a tree, also. At the exact time I was uploading the previous photo, a storm front moved through our area, and it was like a mini hurricane went through. It poured down rain, and the wind whipped up and the woods behind our house started raining down branches and twigs all over the wooded area, our yard and roof. A small tree fell over in the wooded area. It was incredible because it came fast and furious. Then the wind died down and we went to inspect. No damage to us, but the neighbors had a large limb hit their house and take out part of their gutter. Our son came home not long after and asked, Did we have a tornado go through here? We said, Maybe!! He said he saw several downed fences and fir limbs all over the road. A tree of our neighbor up the street had fallen over and was leaning on the block wall by the main road. So, I walked up and took a photo of it. The storm front swept in through most of the state, I think, and left a bit of a mess. Power outages are being taken care of, and downed power lines are also a problem. In the on going problems in Japan and other places, like extreme flooding in northern New Jersey, this isn't much in the scheme of things, but it was pretty exciting for about 2 minutes at our house.
