Lunchtime in the biodome

It's made from crack willow, a tree species I'd not known about until my third visit to Camley Street Natural Park. Branches of this tree crack off and set about making home wherever they lay their roots. In this case, one of the volunteers at the park has planted many branches in a circle and tied them at the top, thus creating a biodome. Inside, there are several chunks of recycled sleeper on which you can sit with others in a kind of lunchtime pow-wow while hoping for a glimpse of a kingfisher. Nope, not this lunchtime. Saw the coot again, though. Now that's a reliable bird.

Busy and methodical at work - a good day with much done. A blue sky and a sunny view cheered me along just fine.
