Poor Buddha

I went to Bremen's city centre this morning to pick up a prescription. When I left the doctor's office, I saw this Buddha statue sitting in a backstreet. Where did he come from? Did the nearby sushi bar throw him out? Perhaps a gift shop dumped him, because the new season's bringing along new trendy junk. Or a furnishing house decided that Asia inspired home decoration is so yesterday.

Someone even placed some empty wine bottles next to him. Poor Buddha.

Thank you for your interest in the Buddha. There are actually two of them, made of cast stone. They're massive, compact and huge. I couldn't move them. They're at Bremen, Herdentorswallstraße (near Knochenhauerstrasse), on the right of the entrance to the Herold- Passage. There's a shop with evening/ bridal wear. Turn to the backstreet on the right, there they are.
