Playtime

It has been a lovely day so far. Katie woke up in a brilliant mood, immediately jumping down from the bed and playing with the toys, before having a huge breakfast again.

We went to the park first off, and she had a great time playing in the peep-throughs. She was running round full of smiles.

We were walking via the park as we were on our way to the children's centre for Lets Get. It seems that today's theme was Lets Get Very Messy. As soon as I saw the activities, I stripped her down to her vest! The children were playing with the red water, and also doing hand and foot prints with giant paint trays and huge A2 sheets of paper, so Katie enjoyed walking up and down her piece. The big sand tray was out too, so lots of messy. But the sensory room was open too so Katie had a lot of time in there once she was cleaned up.

She insisted on walking home and was very excited to find three cats on the way. We stopped and bought some lunch, and she insisted on eating something as we were going. By the time she'd had the rest of her lunch at home, she was looking rather floppy and there was mucho eye-rubbing, so she went to bed. Where she's been asleep for 1 1/2 hours after a play with her toys and mobile in her cot.

This was so so nearly the blip - to the point that I had uploaded it, done the journal entry and then changed my mind at the last minute. I'm still not sure I've picked the right one! In the alternate, I love the light on her face and her concentration. In the chosen one, I love her cheeky expression.
