Thirsty Work...

Chester and Twesel certainly do plenty of it.
You will know Twesel, my dog, on the right, from previous blips.
Chester (on the left) has been re-homed by my mother, she's had him about 5 months.
Chester was adopted from 'Labrador Rescue' How he ended up with them I don't know, because they usually take Labradors that need rehoming straight from their owners to their new family. However, Chester was a stray from 'Up North' and I'm not sure there is that much Lab in him!! When we went to meet him he was in a local rescue kennels.
He is friendly and gentle and tries to be house-trained (only 50% at night) and probably 2 - 3 years old.
We now know why he was a stray - he runs extremely fast in a straight line - he just can't help himself, and he will chase anything - squirrels being his favouite target.
We have had to collect him from a fair distance on several occasions and as a consequence he has to stay on a lead most of the time - oh and he can jump over a six foot fence, with ease. We now think he is probably a Staffy cross Greyhound - or similar.
Most days Twesel and I visit and take Chester for a good walk then they play-fight in the garden, one being restrained by a long rope, while the other has the advantage of being free. They are best friends.
Chester is far from being a suitable dog for mum, but he can rest safe in the knowledge that he'll have a home for life within our family - as long as he doesn't run too far away!
P.S. He is of course microchipped now and wears a tag on his collar
