Rune's Axe

Meet my new axe. Well to be a bit more precise my Gränsfors Bruks hand made Splitting Axe made by Rune Andersson. I know it was him because his initials are stamped on the head.

It's Swedish thing of beauty - along with with a Volvo 1800S, a painting by Carl Larsson and our own MissRable.

My old mass produced axe with it's fibreglass handle eventually fell apart so I've broke out and got the best I could afford.

It's even got it's own wee leather cover - a joy.

...and later in the week I'll be giving it a go.
