a colourful Sunday in Berlin

We had a great and colourful Sunday in Berlin. The weather was absolutely gorgeous yet again so that we could enjoy our breakfast sitting outside at this lovely cafè in Prenzlauer Berg. Afterwards we went to Mauerpark (Wall Park). We were told that it was well worth a visit. Not only for the flea market but also for some open air karaoke. Yep, karaoke ;) The flea market itself was pretty fun ... incredible what things people were selling with some stands actually looking very much like rubbish dumps.

The best part of it all was indeed the open air karaoke. Some guy started it a few years ago and now a couple of thousands spectators gather on Sundays to either sing themselves or just to enjoy other people singing. Usually I am not really into karaoke but when people get up and sing amazingly beautifully with a couple of thousands people clapping and cheering, it is hard not to feel enthusiastic about it.

Later on we met up with friends who produce and sell honey coming from bees in Berlin (berlinerhonig.de) Wouldn't have thought that honey from Berlin could be this good!

A shame that weekends are always too short!!
