Great Grandma.

Woke up after a wonderful day yesterday and started off with a scrummy cooked breakfast. A few of us had stayed at the hotel last night so it was nice to all get together for breakfast.
After booking out Darren and I went with the children and my parents to visit my Gran who lives minutes round the corner. She wasn't at the wedding as she has alzheimer's and Piks dementia and it would have been too much for her. I wanted to visit though as I haven't seen her for a while. I thought she was doing really well until my sister turned up and said about the wedding and and my Gran new nothing about it. I had just not 10 minutes before been showing her the pictures I had taken. It upset me which is daft as I know that she is ill but I guess knowing it and witnessing it are two different things. We stayed until her carer came to do her lunch and then we left them too it, lovely to see her though and she adored seeing the children.
Spent the rest of the day with Mum and Dad and had a lovely roast carvery before heading home after a great weekend.
