Sorting Out the Rubbish
Our very expensive, and so-called premium and high-quality timber suspended ceiling proved a real disappointment today.
The boards were full of knots and shakes, damaged edges, ends not cut at right-angles, patchy staining.
We sorted them into piles.
From the right:
1st 5 stacks - acceptable quality
Next 2 stacks - acceptable quality but with skewiff ends
Next stack - second rate quality but might "do" in utility room (this pile still to be further sorted to remove those with bad ends)
Next couple of piles - very poor quality
Piles by window - completely unacceptable
As you can see, there isn't really much that can be used and so we are waiting to hear how the supplier is going to remedy this situation...
