Following the tracks.
We took a bike ride, but soon grew tired of the speeding cars and thundering trucks passing us by just a few feet.
So for our return leg we tried something a little bit different, following a disused railway line that was used to supply a power station, now also disused.
The gravel at the track side was hard to ride on, but soon the track became very overgrown. It was a battle to wade through the bushes to keep following the track at times.
Oddly enough we meet a few individuals also using this hidden, forgotten route, and oddly enough, they were a bit odd! But that's what they thought of us too no doubt!
It was a great mini adventure, just yards from the humm drum normal roads and pavements, but it felt like another world, exploring relics of a bygone industrial landscape, once bustling and important, now ignored and neglected.
