Fisherking

....This mortar.....

is today's emergency blip.

After two lessons chasing poor little children who don't understand the concept of their coursework......or deadlines.....or urgency....or their future if they fail..............or as I prefer to call them lazy little buggers who can't be arsed, plus a lesson with a group of delightful, bright, on the ball children, who ask hundreds of questions, plus a lesson with hormonal 13/14 year olds,....or as I prefer to call them, stroppy buggers, plus being on break time duty, I got home tonight knackered.

As I dragged myself through the door like a wounded animal, I was faced with a full dish washer (because I appear to be the only person in this house who understands that dish washers have to be emptied) and a messy kitchen. Muttering such phrases as "Oh, deary, deary me!" and "Gosh look what's waiting to be done"..........not really but if I put down what I really said I'll be moderated until Christmas, I emptied and put away and tidied.

The Boss came home and I made her coffee and I was just contemplating resting my eyes for a few seconds when I remembered I had to go out to a meeting!!!

"Oh round objects", I expleted, but it was an important meeting so I had to go. It was brilliant...two hours in the company of seven adults with about 6 brain cells between them trying to explain to them the niceties of a legal ruling known as a Tomlin Order, regarding the conduct of an EGM in three weeks time to finally determine who actually runs the fishing club, the properly elected committee or a bunch of stirring, nasty, arrogant, devious people who are unable to name their own fathers, (not that I'm biased in any way, you understand).

Back home just after 10, no tea/dinner, no alcohol because I was driving and suddenly.....no blip.

So here it is....a mortar and pestle bought for me many years ago by a little pupil from Thailand, he went back every summer and every year without fail he returned in September with a little gift for me.

I'm sorry. I'll do better tomorrow, I promise....as long as I get a decent night's sleep tonight.

Das vidanya moy padruga.
