Where there are daffodils there's hope

I love daffodils. Not sure why because there are certainly more aesthetically pleasing flowers in the world. Maybe it's because they represent Wales - which I love and am very proud of being partly Welsh, maybe it's because they are a promise of Spring and lighter days and possibly some slightly warmer weather, maybe it's because they remind me of sunshine - which is odd as I have a reputation for seriously disliking yellow. Whatever the reason the daffodils in my house have cheered me up no end - it's just a shame you can't bottle the smell.
