The Battery
Winter came back yesterday and today was cold and windy but quite sunny. I could see the sun shine on Signal Hill and the houses below, overlooking the harbour, so I drove out to the southside of the harbour to capture this view. The area where these homes are perched is called The Battery.
Wikipedia says: "The area is noted for its steep slopes, colourful houses, and its importance as a battery for the defense of St. John's Harbour in both World Wars."
