sometimes i pretend you're speaking to me.
it makes me feel loved.
it makes me feel important.
it makes me feel that if i were to stomp my feet
the earth would shake, and so i skip.
i skip because you'd want me to skip.
you'd want me to skip and laugh
and look back at you smiling.
