"But you said we were well camouflaged here..
Walked with the Haltwhistle walkers today as I usually do on a Wednesday. It was very misty when I left home but improved a bit in Allendale, then the mist came down again. Despite the lack of views we had a very good walk and had the opportunity for seeing quite a bit of nature en route.
We saw a small copse all in white - looked like some sort of willow with seeds like cotton wool. We saw sheep, cows, horses too. There were multiple styles, many very slippery, and loads of lichens and mosses.
Frogspawn was around in abundance. It was often in wet ditches that will dry out (assuming the weather dries up). Then these two in their amorous embrace, just on the path and lucky not to be squashed by heavy boots! I like their shiny skins and bright eyes.
